Translation in standard French: "Quelle belle chevelure, il sort de chez le coiffeur”. My Italian grandmother came to France when she was 20 and has her own unique language. A mix of patois, French and Italian that only those closest to her can easily understand. She inspired me to become a translator. I believe that translation is not only about communicating ideas, but also about replicating emotion as closely as possible without losing meaning. It means understanding what is behind a message. To do this, I make it a priority to discuss projects with my clients, to get to know the issues they really care about and understand their world. Not only do I translate their content, I also advise them on other digital tools available to them, drawing on the expertise that I have gained throughout my time in a translation agency, in clients’ companies and as a freelance translator.
